This small two-storey beach house is a joint venture that has just been opened to guests. The compound is shared by Taprobane, a second house belonging to the British partner who is away most of the year keeping the house closed up. Hence, Little Taprobane enjoys much privacy and seclusion. The two houses are separated by the newly commissioned swimming pool which is shared by both houses. Just a few steps away, right on the beach, is Sugie's restaurant, which is open all day and offers a mix of Sri Lankan rice and curry, Eastern and Western dishes prepared with fresh seafood straight from the catamarans as they bring in their catch of the day. Sugie is the local partner and is always at hand to assist guests with their requirements.
